This book is an excellent introduction to the theory, implementation, and design of active filters using the 741 operational amplifier. Starting with an introduction to the operational amplifier, the book progresses to a discussion of filter basics. Then chapters are devoted to first order low- and high-pass filters, second order voltage- controlled-voltage-source filters, second order multiple-feedback filters, higher order filters, bandpass and notch filters, and the state-variable filter. Throughout the book, experiments are given to enable you to learn firsthand just how each filter operates. This book is recommended to anyone-student, hobbyist, technician, or engineer with a desire to learn the design and operation of active filters.
