The op-amp is one of the most versatile integrated circuits in use. This
book is about the design and operation of basic operational-amplifier circuits.
It is a text-/ workbook that explains the design of the fundamental circuits
that are the building blocks of more sophisticated systems using many op-amps.
The basic op-amp circuits covered in this book include: linear amplifiers,
differentiators and integrators, voltage and current converters, comparators,
rectifiers, oscillators, active filters, and single supply circuits. Included
in the text are 37 experiments to illustrate the design and operation of
these circuits. Chapter 1 defines an op-amp and discusses the many parameters
the distinguish one type of op-amp from another. Basic linear amplifier
circuits using op-amps are covered in the second chapter. Two additional
basic op-amp circuits, the differentiator and the integrator, are presented
in Chapter 3. Some of the basic op-amp voltage and current circuits are
discussed in Chapter 4. The next chapter presents several nonlinear signal
processing circuits using co-amps. Chapter 6 discusses the application
op-amps to generate various kinds of simple waveforms. Several of the
major active-filter configurations using op-amps are presented in Chapter
7. The eighth chapter discusses methods by which op-amp circuits can be
operated from a single supply voltage. The Norton op-amp, or current-differencing
amplifier, which is designed to operate from a single-ended power supply,
is covered in chapter 9. Finally, Chapter 10 describes a different type
of integrated-circuit amplifier, the instrumentation amplifier. |
